LONDON, ENGLAND — In stunning news, the acclaimed novelist Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley has returned to life. The writer passed away in February, 1851 but, much like the widely recognized monster in her acclaimed novel Frankenstein; or The Modern Prometheus, Shelley apparently rose from the dead at approximately 7:15 pm last night, local time.

After a shower and a visit to her mother’s grave where she famously romanced her husband Percy Bysshe Shelley, her first matter of business was to exlpore the website Reddit.

“I’d heard a lot about it and I wanted to see what all the fuss was over,” Shelley said. “There were a lot of dudes complaining about Brie Larson? But like, they do know who the first sci-fi novelist was, right?” she continued.

Shelley went on to explain how Reddit has shaped her opinion of contemproary times.

“I mean TBH, things don’t seem that different from 1851. Did you know everyone just assumed Percy wrote Frankenstein? For like a really long time? Sigh.”

In another shocking turn of events, Shelley said she then decided to construct a monster similar to the one that appears in her famous novel.

“It’s the only logical response to the world we live in. If you can think of a better way to deal with this shit show, let me know,” she said.
